Tierra
del Sol is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert
Trent Jones, Jr. Truly splendid, its a "desert course with
an ocean view". The target-style design and constant trade
winds provide challenges that keep the golfers coming back time
after time.
Tierra
del Sol is home to the Aruba Aces Championship: a Senior PGA Tour
event, where pros on the senior tour who ace a hole during the season
are invited to participate in the $1 million Aces Championship in
Aruba. Pros like Jim Colbert, Ray Floyd, Dave Stockton, J.C. Snead
and Walter Morgan have all played at Tierra del Sol since the opening
in January 1995.
